22kW Pedestal EV Charger
Anyone selling EV chargers into European rental markets quickly learns one recurring pain point: you cannot force every visiting driver or tenant to download an app, create an account, and connect to spotty home Wi‑Fi before charging. Many landlords we speak to do not want a fully cloud-locked system. They want visibility, simple remote oversight, and above all, reliability when internet cuts out.
That is exactly why we built the EMS3-D: a pedestal charger centred around its on-screen readout. Live charging metrics sit front and centre for anyone who plugs in, with no app required. It runs up to 22kW on three-phase supply, pairing straightforward local operation with optional Tuya remote access. This is our practical pick for private landlords, small rental sites, and rural locations where stable cloud connectivity is never guaranteed.

Products Description

Built-in local display for app-free operation
Tenants, visiting guests and contractors can check charging status at a glance, no app download or account registration required. The clear screen shows real-time voltage, current and cumulative delivered energy. When a fault arises, dedicated error codes appear on the display to speed up on-site troubleshooting for installers.
Offline-capable core charging, cloud as optional add-on
Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and Tuya App remote control are supported for landlords to review usage data and configure rules. Critically, the charger continues normal Plug & Play charging during internet outages. Session data is buffered locally and synchronises automatically once connectivity is restored.

Pedestal form with integrated cable storage
Supplied as a complete freestanding pedestal unit. The fixed 5-metre charging cable wraps neatly around the base when idle. This built-in cable management reduces trip hazards, prevents tyre damage and keeps parking areas tidy for rental properties and small business lots.
IP65 outdoor enclosure, wide temperature tolerance
Sealed IP65 dust and water protection for permanent outdoor installation, operating reliably from -20°C to +50°C. Note: IP65 rating does not inherently protect against salt mist corrosion; anti-corrosion surface treatment is available as an optional upgrade for coastal deployments.

FAQ
Q: Can I lock the charger to block unauthorised users?
A: Yes. Disable Plug & Play mode via the Tuya App to enforce authorisation. Users can start sessions through the Tuya App or registered RFID cards (RFID is an optional configuration).
Q: What fault information will the screen show?
A: The display outputs standard diagnostic fault codes for ground fault, over-temperature, leakage protection and other common alerts. This helps installers quickly isolate issues between vehicle, site wiring and charger hardware.
Q: Is the charging cable permanently attached?
A: Yes. The unit comes with an integrated 5-metre cable, designed to coil around the pedestal base for tidy storage.
Q: What happens to charging records if Wi‑Fi goes offline mid-session?
A: Session energy data is cached locally on the charger. Once the network connection recovers, stored records sync automatically to the Tuya cloud.
Q: Can the built-in meter reading be used legally to bill tenants in Germany / EU?
A: Standard stock firmware metering is for reference only. If you require fiscal-grade billing compliant with Eichrecht or MID calibration rules, select the optional certified metering variant.
Q: Can we add dynamic load balancing for multiple chargers on one supply?
A: Dynamic load balancing is available as an optional add-on module for multi-charger rental or small commercial sites.
Q: Is OCPP integration supported?
A: Native stock firmware runs on the Tuya protocol. OCPP backend compatibility can be customised on request.
